I’m a 23-year old writer living in Portland, Oregon. My debut novel, Devil’s Fire, is scheduled for release with RainTown Press in August 2013. It is the first in a series of three books.
I write everything from young adult and middle-grade novels to childrens’ picture books, women’s fiction to epic sci-fi, fantasy to genre-bending short stories, and everything in between. I write every day, sometimes all day. I am hopelessly addicted to it. Someday I’d love to have a whole bookshelf of books I’ve written.

SOME OTHER THINGS ABOUT ME:
1. I’m an illustrator. You can click here to see my work or visit http://kiersi.com. Illustration is hard work but rewarding.
2. I’m a pet-holic. I have one cat, two pet rats, and four pet frogs. I also have a couple snails that help keep my home-built terrariums clean. (Did I also mention I’m obsessed with building terrariums?)
3. I LOVE CUTE SMALL THINGS. Some examples:
Calico Critters: Tiny, cute, shaped like animals and slightly furry. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE?
Remember Tamagotchi? I sure do. I have about a million of them.
4. I love, love, love gardening. I grow onions, brussel sprouts, basil (SO MUCH BASIL), marjoram, hot and spicy oregano (great on pizza), more basil, asparagus, cucumbers, tomatoes, some more basil (thai basil this time), cuban mint (for mojitos), bell peppers, and some totally rockin’ lettuce.
